Damage and how we classify it

Modified on Thu, 01 Feb 2024 at 04:24 PM

Types of damage:

  1. Cosmetic Damage:

    • Definition: Cosmetic damage refers to superficial or aesthetic harm to the appearance of the BlueBot device that does not affect its functionality or performance.

    • Examples: Scratches, dents, scuffs, or any surface blemishes that are visible but do not impair the device's operation.

    • Impact: Cosmetic damage is typically cosmetic in nature and does not affect the device's internal components or operational capabilities. It is generally excluded from warranty coverage as it does not hinder the intended function of the device.

  2. Physical Damage:

    • Definition: Physical damage involves harm to the structural integrity or internal components of the BlueBot device, affecting its functionality.

    • Examples: Cracks, breaks, weather damage, or any form of damage that impacts the device's ability to operate as intended.

    • Impact: Physical damage can significantly impair the performance and functionality of the device. Unlike cosmetic damage, physical damage may void warranties, as it often results from accidents, misuse, or other factors beyond the control of the manufacturer.

We perform a thorough visual inspection of the devices when they are returned to our Flow Lab (Video recorded unboxing and inspection is standard). When we receive damaged products, they may be subject to a charge. The fees are listed below.
