LoRaWAN Explained

LoRa, or Long Range, is a wireless modulation technique derived from Chirp Spread Spectrum (CSS) technology. It encodes information on radio waves using chirp pulses - similar to the way dolphins and bats communicate!

LoRaWAN, or Long Range Wide Area Network, is a wireless communication protocol designed for \ low-power, long-range communication between devices in the Internet of Things (IoT). LoRaWAN ® is an international, open radio standard, which is managed by the LoRa Alliance TM.

Bluebot leverages LoRaWAN bidirectional communication, a high level of security through modern encryption technologies and low energy demands to enable efficient and cost-effective connectivity, making it ideal for applications like smart homes, buildings, cities and agriculture as well as industrial IoT. From up to thousands of feet away, each Bluebot meter auto-connects to the cloud via LoRaWAN radio transmission, streaming high-quality water data to the mobile App, a web dashboard, or even integrating with your own software through API. No more hassle with WiFi or repeaters at each meter install point just to get your data. Plus, with Bluebot’s dedicated power source, forget about changing batteries.

The provided LoRaWAN Gateway transceiver seamlessly manages all meter connections to the internet and Bluebot Smart Flow Cloud™. Connect the Gateway directly to your router, use available WiFi, or take advantage of 4G LTE capability for ultimate flexibility.
