Undeliverable / Returned to Sender

There are instances where packages, for one reason of another, get returned back to bluebot as undeliverable or not received(international customs).  The purpose of this document is to set the expectation that you may need to closely track your package to make sure that you receive it on time.

Regardless of whether we are shipping within the continental united states or exporting to another country we will always send a tracking number to the email address associated with a customer’s order.  If the customer does not provide a email address or phone number when submitting their order then we will not be able to provide a tracking number and will consider it the customer responsibility to accept the package when it arrives.  Furthermore, any additional shipping cost resulting from shipping a package more than once will need to be paid prior to shipping the package out a second time. These conditions will apply provided that the package was sent with the correct shipping documentation and was not returned due to a mistake made by our shipping department.

Package theft after our shipping carrier marks delivered is not covered by bluebots warranty.  Package theft is covered under our insurance policy and you can find more details HERE.  Please have a safe secure place to have shipments dropped off should someone not be available to accept them.

Exports out of the united states will have different shipping requirements depending on how the importing country has their customs requirements structured.  Some countries allow us to prepay duty(international tax between countries) which allows us to ship straight to customers doorsteps, however this is not always the case.  The cheapest international shipping methods often require knowledge on which country-specific forms are needed to meet custom documentation requirements there is also different tax rates (duty) and classifications/tariff codes(item identification codes) for each country.

The complexity of the international shipping system and the fact that there is no global shipping system makes shipping via the cheapest methods both more time consuming, and prone to mistakes.  This means that customers packages might get delayed/returned/or even lost while using the cheaper methods.  As a result bluebot needs to apply additional handling cost ,when using the less expensive carriers, to off set the cost of inevitable returns by customs.  While it is our goal and intension to get our products to our customers as quickly and cheaply as possible we always recommend paying extra for shipping using hassle-free carriers such as (DHL, and FedEx) to reduce the chance of delays.

Should a customer prefer to have their bluebot via a cheaper carrier, we will attempt to send the package up to 3 times before canceling the order and issuing a refund.  Customer must also expect, in the event that the duty tax on international shipments cannot be paid ahead of time, to need to contact their countries customs department to pay the duty before the package is released to it’s final destination.  Failure to pay the duty cost will result in the package being returned to bluebot and the cost of the failed shipment will need to be paid prior to reshipping.  Refunds after failed delivery (due to customer error) will be issued minus the shipping/handling costs.  If you have any additional questions please create a customer support ticket HERE.
