The bluebot device is powered by a power cable usb-C to standard US 110V power outlet. The bluebot device requires constant power and does not have a battery backup. At this time, we do not offer any alternative power solutions (such as solar) but are considering a variety of options for future accessories. Send us a message and let us know what you'd like to see in the future. 

We intentionally chose bluebot to run on dedicated power in an effort to reduce maintenance and avoid contributing to hazardous battery waste.
